One of the most common and popular types of flooring would be hardwood floors. They are mostly planks of wood milled from the same piece of timber.

It’s common knowledge that water is not a friend of wooden floors, even if they’re sealed. You have to keep certain things in mind while cleaning your hardwood floors. For wet mopping:

Too much water can damage your hardwood flooring. It is important to make sure you’re mopping with a damp method rather than soaking the floor with water. The best option for wet mopping would be microfiber flat mops. They scrape and collect dirt and liquid easily with their large surface area. Moreover, are easy to use as you don’t have to carry around a mop bucket while mopping the floor. You can wash the microfiber pad after you are done cleaning and use it again.

For dry mopping

The most common method for dry mopping is using conventional dust mops. They get the job done when it comes to dry mopping. Dust mops will collect all the soot, dirt, and soil that may be on your hardwood floor. They usually have cotton or synthetic fibers. However, microfiber mops are an even better option when it comes to dry mopping as they are more efficient and effective. And yes, they can be used for both wet mopping and dry mopping purposes!

      Generally 1/2 bleach per gallon of water. If you need slightly stronger mixture for bathrooms, you could use 3/4 cup bleach per gallon of water.

      Not a good idea! Steam cleaners can damage solid wood, engineered, laminate and vinyl floors. If you have a porcelain floor you could use!

    The decision to use a damp mop on a hardwood surface depends only on how the surface has been finished. If you finished the hardwood floor’s surface, moist mopping is permitted with some restrictions. Nevertheless, if you didn’t finish the floor, damp mopping is not permitted for that particular hardwood floor.
